Areas of Expertise

  • Practical Knowledge:  What I know about differences, I learned from persons not books.

  • Secular Starting Point: Knowing the Persons Around Us

  • Political education: Red or Blue? Why the complexion of your state should have no effect on your way of life.

  • Race, class and the cultivation of healthy desire: Exploring our longings, desires, and identities with honesty and little or no manipulation, in communities of mutual accountability. Addressing, and correcting distortions consumerism and sexual identity.

  • Promoting capacity for engaging community among those emerging from addiction, homelessness, and/or incarceration.

  • Science as a practical tool to assist in our diverse ways of life, and to experience wonder.

  • In a multifaith world, freedom of religion is a way of life.  Respect for all ways of life, only controlling for coercion of any persons and inequity in public use of and access to resources.

  • Making democracy real within a capitalist economy.  A new accounting for wealth, both private and public. How to support voting with both market dollars and unpaid labor for fair access to housing, food, education and health care.
